Welcome to St Nicholas' Church

About us

St Nicholas is a friendly parish church for the village of Bathampton, with a congregation of all ages.

We are a Church of England parish church, part of a benefice with  St Mary's Claverton, and offer a warm welcome to anyone who would like to join us, of any Christian denomination or none.

Verse for 2019

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us."

1 John 5:14

Above all we seek to be a community that knows and loves Jesus and shares his love with those around us.

Our mission statement

We are a church focused on Jesus so that we

  • love one another,
  • serve the whole parish
  • and touch the world

What we believe

As Christians, we believe that God has uniquely revealed himself in Jesus Christ and that he calls us to live as Jesus' disciples in the world.
